Teacher Evaluation Record Program
Multiple Evaluators

The Teacher Evaluation Record Program was originally intended to be completed by one evaluator or by using a network server.  However, if more then one administrator evaluates a teacher, this becomes problematic if each evaluator completes the forms using different computers.  The following procedures can be used to update the Teacher Evaluation Record Program for an educator if it is completed by more than one evaluator and the program is not accessible on a server or exists on each evaluator's desktop.

First Step:  Make a back-up of your evaluation files and store them on a separate disk (USB, CD, etc.)

Procedure for placing a teacher's Teacher Evaluation Record Program into one Workbook file so that the instrument scores can be electronically transferred to the ESR spreadsheet part of the program.

  • This process uses a copy and paste approach and is the easiest if the master record file for the teacher has data and you want to move an external spreadsheet also populated with data to it.
  • You will need to have all workbooks for that teacher open (name of files should be different)
  • You will need to "unprotect" the instrument spreadsheets in questions (e.g., Observation 2, Interview, etc.).  After you unprotect the sheets and copy the information, you should protect the sheets again.
  • You must highlight and copy the whole spreadsheet instrument that contains the data
  • You must paste the copy into the master file exactly as it appears - make sure the sheets are comparable.
  • You should NOT use the "edit", "Move or Copy" spreadsheet command (this will affect the formulas).  Using this command is another method that can be used and instructions on this method will be posted shortly.
